About the Stone

Zebra Jasper is a banded stone in alternating white and dark grey-to-black stripes, chiefly from India, South Africa and Australia. Much of what the trade sells under the name is a banded marble or dolomite rather than a true jasper, which is why some pieces are softer than others.

Care

Warm soapy water and a soft cloth; the softer white bands can wear faster than the dark ones, so skip abrasives, and prolonged strong sun can dull it. Cleanse it with moonlight or a smudge.
