About the Stone

A white chalcedony with green dendritic inclusions. The branches were never plants — they are mineral dendrites, usually manganese or iron oxides, that crystallised in branching patterns as solutions seeped through the stone: minerals growing in the shape of trees, by the same branching mathematics trees use. Dendritic Agate and Moss Agate are separate stones with their own teachings.

Wearing & Care

Rings take more knocks than any other piece of jewelry: put it on last, after lotion and perfume, and take it off for hand-washing, housework, gardening, the gym, swimming and sleep. Sterling silver tarnishes slowly in air; a silver polishing cloth keeps it bright. Durable — warm soapy water is fine. Keep it out of prolonged strong sunlight, which can dull agate over time, and away from harsh abrasives. US sizes. Not sure of yours?
