About the Stone

Strawberry Quartz is quartz coloured by its inclusions — fine platelets and needles of iron oxide, usually hematite or lepidocrocite, suspended through clear quartz and producing exactly the flecked look of a strawberry; the "seeds" are real minerals, visible to the eye. Genuinely uncommon in fine grades; principal sources are Kazakhstan, Russia, Mexico and Madagascar. Note the order of the teaching: lack is released first, and only then does what you want arrive.

Care

Quartz (Mohs 7): warm soapy water and a soft cloth. Keep it out of prolonged strong sunlight, which can dull the pink over time. Cleanse it in moonlight.
