About the Stone

Green Tourmaline — verdelite — is the elbaite species coloured by iron and chromium, growing in long striated prisms with a rounded-triangular cross-section. Tourmaline develops an electric charge when warmed or squeezed; Dutch traders called it the ash-puller because a warmed crystal attracts ash. Chiefly from Brazil, Afghanistan and Nigeria.

Wearing & Care

Rings take more knocks than any other piece of jewelry: put it on last, after lotion and perfume, and take it off for hand-washing, housework, gardening, the gym, swimming and sleep.
