There are three basic varieties of Garnet; this variety is Almandine, which is also the variety known worldwide as simply "Garnet". Garnet is a stone of earthy passion. It is the number one stone I recommend for the Root chakra. It is a grounding stone that drips with the Sacred Masculine and can be an aid to those wanting to stand in that energy. Garnet is strength — a strength that reduces fear and worry to nothing, or inconsequential. It also increases awareness, like a scout on lookout for the greatest good of its sacred partner.

In a relationship, Garnet represents commitment. It is a deep and undying love stone: devotion, trust and honesty, with the sensuality of a romance-novel cover. About the Stone

Garnet is a family of minerals rather than one; Almandine, the deep red iron-aluminum garnet, is the one the world simply calls Garnet. Hard, tough and water-safe — its toughness is why it is also used as an abrasive.

Wearing & Care

Rings take more knocks than any other piece of jewelry: put it on last, after lotion and perfume, and take it off for hand-washing, housework, gardening, the gym, swimming and sleep.
