About the Stone

Terahertz is a modern alchemical stone — new and made rather than ancient and found. Most of what is sold under the name is high-purity silicon, polished to a grey mirror finish and named for the terahertz band of the spectrum that sits between microwaves and infrared; the stone is named for that band, it does not emit it. For energetic and spiritual use only — not a medical device.

Wearing & Care

Rings take more knocks than any other piece of jewelry: put it on last, after lotion and perfume, and take it off for hand-washing, housework, gardening, the gym, swimming and sleep. Sterling silver tarnishes slowly in air; a silver polishing cloth keeps it bright. Brittle and mirror-polished: a drop onto a hard floor can chip or shatter it and a chipped edge can be sharp, and the polish scratches — store it on its own and clean it with a soft dry cloth only. No abrasives, no ultrasonic; brief water contact is fine, no soaking or salt. Cleanse it with moonlight. US sizes. Not sure of yours?
