About the Stones

Aquamarine. Aquamarine is the blue to blue-green variety of beryl — the same mineral family as Emerald and Morganite, each its own stone.

Peridot. Peridot is gem-quality olivine, and its green is part of the mineral itself rather than an impurity — one of very few gems that comes in only one colour.

Garnet. Garnet is a family of minerals rather than one; Almandine, the deep red iron-aluminum garnet, is the one the world simply calls Garnet.

Wearing & Care

Sterling silver tarnishes slowly in air; a silver polishing cloth keeps it bright. Put it on last, after perfume and lotion, and take it off for showers, swimming and sleep. Peridot: Reasonably hard but sensitive to acids and sudden temperature change: warm water and a soft cloth, no ultrasonic, and keep it away from household cleaners.
