About the Stone

Rhodochrosite is manganese carbonate, pink with white banding. The famous banded material comes from old Inca silver mines in Argentina — where it is the national stone — which is where 'Inca Rose' and the Ancestral Rulers come from. Not to be confused with Rhodonite, a different stone with a different teaching.

Wearing & Care

Rings take more knocks than any other piece of jewelry: put it on last, after lotion and perfume, and take it off for hand-washing, housework, gardening, the gym, swimming and sleep. Sterling silver tarnishes slowly in air; a silver polishing cloth keeps it bright. Soft, and a carbonate — keep it from vinegar, citrus and household cleaners; wipe it dry rather than soaking, and never use it in elixirs or gem water. Cleanse it with sage or moonlight. US sizes.
