Garnet — There are three basic varieties of Garnet; this variety is Almandine, which is also the variety known worldwide as simply "Garnet". Garnet is a stone of earthy passion. It is the number one stone I recommend for the Root chakra. It is a grounding stone that drips with the Sacred Masculine and can be an aid to those wanting to stand in that energy. Garnet is strength — a strength that reduces fear and worry to nothing, or inconsequential. It also increases awareness, like a scout on lookout for the greatest good of its sacred partner. Rose Quartz — Rose Quartz is a stone of gentle, steadfast love. It is a nurturing stone and often nurtures us with a mother's love. About the Stones

Garnet. Garnet is a family of minerals rather than one; Almandine, the deep red iron-aluminum garnet, is the one the world simply calls Garnet. Hard, tough and water-safe — its toughness is why it is also used as an abrasive.

Rose Quartz. Rose Quartz is a member of the Quartz family; its pale pink comes from hair-like fiber minerals too small to see. It never forms into a crystal point — pink quartz points are simply called Pink Quartz, and are not quite the same.

Wearing & Care

Rings take more knocks than any other piece of jewelry: put it on last, after lotion and perfume, and take it off for hand-washing, housework, gardening, the gym, swimming and sleep. Sterling silver tarnishes slowly in air; a silver polishing cloth keeps it bright. Cleanse it with sage or moonlight. US sizes. Not sure of yours?
