About the Stone

Prehnite is a calcium aluminium silicate, usually a soft apple-green, often with dark epidote needles running through it. It was the first mineral ever named after a person — Colonel Hendrik von Prehn, who brought it back from the Cape of Good Hope — which is where the nickname Cape Jade comes from. It is not a jade.

Care

Avoid prolonged soaking and sudden heat. Cleanse it with sage or moonlight.
