Each earring is a small sterling silver planchette — the heart-shaped pointer used with a talking board — set with your choice of stone, on French hook wires. Stamped 925, made in India.

Garnet — There are three basic varieties of Garnet; this variety is Almandine, which is also the variety known worldwide as simply "Garnet". Garnet is a stone of earthy passion. Chakras: Root and Heart.

Rainbow Moonstone — Rainbow Moonstone is the Stone of the Sacred Feminine. It connects us to lunar energy and the natural rhythm of cycles, and it provides protection and increases intuition. Chakras: Crown and Third Eye.

Labradorite — Labradorite is known as a stone of magic and protection, as it has many uses in both. The Inuit people saw Labradorite as descending from the heavens — a stone of the Aurora Borealis — bringing the magical fire from the sky to the Earth. Chakras: All, with Third Eye and Root named specifically.

About the Stones

Garnet. Garnet is a family of minerals rather than one; Almandine, the deep red iron-aluminum garnet, is the one the world simply calls Garnet.

Rainbow Moonstone. Most Rainbow Moonstone is white labradorite — a plagioclase feldspar — rather than moonstone in the strict sense, which is why it flashes blue instead of glowing white.

Labradorite. Though the Inuit thought it rained down as frozen fire, Labradorite comes from deep in the earth — a feldspar formed by pressure, named for Labrador in Canada but found in Finland, Madagascar and the Appalachians too.

Wearing & Care

Put earrings on last, after perfume, lotion and hairspray, and take them off for showers, swimming and sleep. Keep the pair together in a pouch so the stones don't rub against other jewelry. Sterling silver tarnishes slowly in air; a silver polishing cloth keeps it bright. Rainbow Moonstone: Water-safe for brief contact; rinse and dry rather than soaking. Labradorite: Labradorite has two directions of cleavage, so it chips if dropped on a hard surface.
