Mookaite is a form of Jasper found only in Australia. While it has very distinct and different colors, all of its colors flow together in a single stone — from a brilliant gold to a brick red to a soft grey and even sometimes to a slight purple or mauve. Mookaite, like most Australians, is known to encourage adventure. It is protective, especially to travelers, and increases one's awareness of dangers to keep its human companions safe.

It is a peacemaking stone, flowing with the Vibration of Harmony. It helps those it works with to vibrate at a similar frequency so that working together becomes easier. Its harmonious vibration keeps us in alignment — the alignment of the soul with the soul's purpose. As a jasper, Mookaite, sometimes just called Mook, has a gentle grounding energy that stabilizes the auric field. This allows one to gain a self-awareness as you vibrate in better harmony with all that surrounds you, and self-awareness is a catalyst for lasting commitments to becoming the best version of yourself.

About the Stone

Mookaite is a jasper — opaque microcrystalline quartz — from the Mooka Creek area of Western Australia, and nowhere else. Its gold, red, grey and mauve come from iron oxides in different states, which is why they appear together in one stone. Mooka is said to mean "running waters" in the local language.

Care

Durable and easy to live with: warm water and a soft cloth, and it can take daily wear. Cleanse it with moonlight or a smudge.
