Lazurite is a deep blue stone, treasured in Egypt since the time of the pharaohs. It is found often combined with Sodalite and Pyrite in Lapis Lazuli and is one of the elements necessary to make Lapis truly Lapis. It is a powerful stone with an immense store of positive energy within it. It is electric, and its positivity is contagious. It is so positive that it has been known to restore faith in God by working with its human companions to raise their vibration until they see. This conscious connection to all that is often makes one generous and soft-hearted, with a new respect for humanity and the fragility of mankind.

This higher consciousness makes Lazurite a choice stone of leadership, and assists leaders in leading with compassion and holding those they lead to a higher standard.

About the Stone

Lazurite is the blue mineral that gives Lapis Lazuli its colour — a member of the sodalite group, found with pyrite and calcite. The classic deposit is Badakhshan in Afghanistan, worked for over 6,000 years; ancient Egypt was its great trader and consumer. Lapis Lazuli is a separate stone in Sacred Crystals' teaching — the rock this mineral sits in — with its own chakra and meaning.

Care

Soft and brittle. Do not soak it, and never use salt water — the pyrite alongside it rusts and the calcite etches. Cleanse it dry: sage, sound or moonlight.
