About the Stone

Kambaba Jasper is not a true jasper but a stromatolite — a fossilised mat of cyanobacteria, the blue-green algae that first put oxygen into Earth's air. The dark green-and-black orbs are cross-sections of those ancient colonies, which makes it one of the oldest things in the shop: a stone of deep calm made of the world's first quiet, patient life. Chiefly from Madagascar.

Durable and water-safe: warm water and a soft cloth. Cleanse it with moonlight or a smudge.
