The Scent

Dragon's blood resin — dark, sweet, slightly spicy and smoky, the deep red resin of the Daemonorops palm.

How to Use It

Set the cone on its metal stand or in a dish of sand on a heat-safe surface. Light the tip, let it flame for five to ten seconds, then blow it out so the point glows; it smokes for fifteen to twenty minutes and leaves a small ash. Open a window a crack. Never leave it burning unattended.

In Tradition

Dragon's blood has been an ink, a varnish and a ritual resin for two thousand years; in Sacred Crystals' teaching it is witches' hot sauce — an activator that powers up whatever it is burned with.
