About the Stone

Golden Rutile Quartz is clear or smoky quartz holding golden needles of rutile — titanium dioxide — that grew first, with the quartz crystallising around them. The needles are genuinely inside the stone, never on it, so they can never wear off. Traditionally called Venus Hair Stone, or flèches d'amour, arrows of love. Chiefly from Brazil.

Care

Durable and water-safe; needles near the surface can be a weak point, so avoid hard knocks. Cleanse it with moonlight or running water.
