Citrine — Citrine is a beautiful, golden tan to bright golden yellow stone. It corresponds to the Solar Plexus Chakra, the energy center that controls our "gut feelings". Chakra: Solar Plexus.

Garnet — There are three basic varieties of Garnet; this variety is Almandine, which is also the variety known worldwide as simply "Garnet". Garnet is a stone of earthy passion. Chakras: Root and Heart.

Rainbow Moonstone — Rainbow Moonstone is the Stone of the Sacred Feminine. It connects us to lunar energy and the natural rhythm of cycles, and it provides protection and increases intuition. Chakras: Crown and Third Eye.

About the Stones

Peridot. Peridot is gem-quality olivine, and its green is part of the mineral itself rather than an impurity — one of very few gems that comes in only one colour.

Amethyst. Amethyst is quartz with iron inclusions that give it its color; the most coveted deep purple comes from Uruguay, though some Brazilian amethyst rivals it.

Citrine. Citrine and Amethyst are the same stone: iron inclusions in Amethyst turn it yellow or orange when heated.

Garnet. Garnet is a family of minerals rather than one; Almandine, the deep red iron-aluminum garnet, is the one the world simply calls Garnet.

Rainbow Moonstone. Most Rainbow Moonstone is white labradorite — a plagioclase feldspar — rather than moonstone in the strict sense, which is why it flashes blue instead of glowing white.

Black Onyx. Onyx is a banded chalcedony, the same mineral family as Agate; the solid black material is the classic form, and much commercial black onyx is colour-enhanced — a standard, stable practice.

Aquamarine. Aquamarine is the blue to blue-green variety of beryl — the same mineral family as Emerald and Morganite, each its own stone.

Wearing & Care

Rings take more knocks than any other piece of jewelry: put it on last, after lotion and perfume, and take it off for hand-washing, housework, gardening, the gym, swimming and sleep. Sterling silver tarnishes slowly in air; a silver polishing cloth keeps it bright. Peridot: Reasonably hard but sensitive to acids and sudden temperature change: warm water and a soft cloth, no ultrasonic, and keep it away from household cleaners. Amethyst: Amethyst's purple fades with long hours in direct sun — it is the stone Vero uses to teach the rule. Rainbow Moonstone: Water-safe for brief contact; rinse and dry rather than soaking. Black Onyx: Durable: warm water and a soft cloth, and it can take daily wear. US sizes. Not sure of yours?
