About the Stone
Agate is the banded variety of chalcedony, a microcrystalline quartz. It is often found growing around geodes, between the outer wall and the inner crystals, which is where its signature banding comes from.
Wearing & Care
Put earrings on last, after perfume, lotion and hairspray, and take them off for showers, swimming and sleep. Keep the pair together in a pouch so the stones don't rub against other jewelry. Sterling silver tarnishes slowly in air; a silver polishing cloth keeps it bright. Cleanse them with sage or moonlight.
