About the Stone

Black Agate is a banded chalcedony, the same mineral family as Agate and Black Onyx, formed in the cavities of volcanic rock. Much commercial black agate is colour-enhanced, a standard and stable practice in the trade.

Wearing & Care

Rings take more knocks than any other piece of jewelry: put it on last, after lotion and perfume, and take it off for hand-washing, housework, gardening, the gym, swimming and sleep. Sterling silver tarnishes slowly in air; a silver polishing cloth keeps it bright. Durable: warm water and a soft cloth, and it can take daily wear. Cleanse it with moonlight or a smudge. US sizes.
