About the Stone

Despite the name, Bumblebee Jasper is not a jasper but a volcanic sediment from Indonesia, coloured by sulphur. Polished pieces carry a coating, like malachite, and are safe to handle.

Wearing & Care

Rings take more knocks than any other piece of jewelry: put it on last, after lotion and perfume, and take it off for hand-washing, housework, gardening, the gym, swimming and sleep. Sterling silver tarnishes slowly in air; a silver polishing cloth keeps it bright. Because of the sulphur, never use it in elixirs, gem water or as a yoni egg. Polished pieces are safe to wear and hold; if you handle a raw piece, wash your hands after. Keep it out of water and heat. Cleanse it with sage or moonlight. US sizes. Not sure of yours?
